THE SMALL THINGS ARE BIG THINGS

Built around
your everyday work.

A FOUNDATION WORTH BUILDING ON

Confidence starts
with the essentials.

Private networking, managed HTTPS and workspace permissions, built into the services you run.

Private connections

Keep service-to-service traffic within an explicitly isolated network.

Deliberate access

Manage who can access your workspace and which work each teammate can perform.

Secrets stay secret

Set environment variables in the console and keep sensitive values out of source control.

Recovery you can test

Create database backups and restore a saved copy when your application needs it.

A way back

Retained releases make application rollback part of the deployment workflow.

Managed HTTPS

Encrypted public connections, with certificate management handled for you.

  • Free static sites and web instances

Scale

Bring more people and projects together.

$99/month

Per workspace + service compute

Choose Scale
  • Up to 50 workspace members
  • 5,000 shared build minutes/month
  • 30-day log retention

  • No automatic upgrade or charge

Hobby has no workspace fee. Pro and Scale are flat workspace prices with included member limits; instance compute and storage are separate. A workspace upgrade does not resize services or include instance credit. Purchased terms and legacy renewals keep their quoted prices. New purchases require explicit checkout.

Start with Hobby and free instances, then pay for the resources or collaboration your project needs. Additional capacity is provisioned automatically after payment is confirmed when needed. This may restart the workspace host and briefly interrupt all services in the workspace; review the notice at checkout.

The same instance prices apply to web services, private services, workers, and cron jobs. Workspace collaboration is charged separately. CPU is shared. Choose any listed instance and review its quote in the dashboard. Additional hosting capacity is provisioned automatically when needed, subject to availability. Renew manually by paying your monthly invoice.

How pricing works

Workspace collaboration and service compute are separate charges. Hobby is $0 per workspace per month; Pro and Scale are flat workspace subscriptions with included member limits, not per-seat charges. Service prices are per calendar month for one replica, before applicable taxes. Pay a month upfront and renew manually by invoice. CPU is shared, not dedicated. Databases, extra replicas and persistent app disks are priced separately. Additional capacity is provisioned automatically after confirmed payment when needed. This may restart the workspace host and briefly interrupt its services; checkout explains the change before confirmation. Purchased service terms and renewals of an already selected legacy instance retain their quoted pricing; upgrades require explicit checkout. Invoices and credits remain in USD. NGN figures are reference estimates at ₦1,400 per $1; review the final payment amount and currency before paying.

Build minutes are shared across the workspace: Hobby includes 500, Pro 1,000 and Scale 5,000 minutes per month. Additional build packs cost $20 per 1,000 minutes and require explicit purchase in the console.

A LITTLE GUIDANCE GOES A LONG WAY

Start here.
Go somewhere good.

Explore the platform

A little more
clarity.

A few things you might be wondering
before your next deploy.

Do I need to bring my own server?

No. Openstead provides and manages the hosting infrastructure. Bring your repository or compatible container image and the configuration your application needs.

What can I run on Openstead?

Web applications, static sites, private services, background workers, and cron jobs. Add PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Redis-compatible Key Value alongside them in your project.

Does Openstead detect my application?

Yes. Select a repository and application folder, then review the detected runtime and suggested settings. You can customize the build and start commands or use your own Dockerfile.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Add a domain to a web service or static site and follow its DNS instructions. Openstead verifies the records and manages HTTPS once the domain is connected.

Can I start for free?

Yes. Hobby has no workspace fee and includes static hosting, free web compute and one MySQL Free database. Free web services share 750 instance hours each month and sleep after 15 minutes without traffic. Hobby includes 500 shared build minutes per month. Paid instances and optional storage are charged separately; choosing Hobby does not require a paid workspace subscription.

How do payments and renewals work?

Review your workspace collaboration plan and each paid application or database, then pay one calendar month upfront through hosted checkout. Purchased capacity is activated after payment is confirmed. Renewal invoices are issued two days before the term ends. Open Billing to pay each invoice or explicitly confirm available credits; renewal does not automatically charge a saved card. If a service month is unpaid, a three-day grace period follows the term end, then that compute pauses and data is retained. Purchased terms keep their quoted pricing.

Are the naira prices checkout prices?

NGN figures are reference estimates at ₦1,400 per $1. Invoices and credits remain in USD. If the console offers NGN checkout, review its quoted NGN amount before paying. Otherwise, checkout is in USD and your payment provider determines any conversion rate and fees.

Can I move an existing application?

Yes. Bring its repository or container image, configure its environment, and transfer any persistent files or database data. Test the new service before pointing your domain to it. Contact us if you need help planning the move.
